Modeling & Simulation Engineering

Taking the right decisions during a system development process is crucial for achieving at the same time project goals and project profitability. Computer modeling and simulation can be a cost-effective way to approach the different phases of a system development. It allows analyzing not so obvious consequences of simple assumptions without the constraints and cost of direct experimentation and, in fact, avoiding the cost of later correction of implementation mistakes.

Systems Engineering

During system development, Systems Engineering is looking at the “big picture”.

It allows to take decisions in a logical way, balancing conflicting constraints, allocating all requirements and meeting system objectives. KOSMIA’s Systems Engineering service adopts an inter-disciplinary approach (embracing mechanics, electronics, electro-optics, software, …) to evaluate system-level behavior as a result of the behavior and the interaction of its elements. Systems Engineering methodology can be applied to all phases of a project life cycle, from conceptual phase to verification and validation phases, and including design and implementation.
